Skoda Kodiaq Sportline Will Debut in 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Skoda Kodiaq is ready to hit the market in early 2017, and it will be available with 3 different trim levels, S, SE and SE-L (also called Active, Ambition, and Style in some market).
During its launching event in Mallorca, Skoda’s executive also announced that the fourth trim on Skoda Kodiaq lineup, Sportline, is finally confirmed and will probably be launched in Geneva. Just like Audi S-Line, Sportline will be the sporty and performance oriented model of the lineup.
Skoda Kodiaq SportLine Specifications
Exterior, Interior design
New Skoda Kodiaq SportLine will get different styling cues from the other three trims. To make the car looks sportier, the car will come with the larger wheel. Maybe 20” black alloy wheels, beefier front and rear bumper, black grille as well as black door mirror housing and tinted windows.
Furthermore, it seems like Skoda will give Sportline sport suspension that will lower its ground height. There is no information yet regarding the interior, but we can expect it to be based on Superb Sportline’s. It means it could get the same all-black treatment just like the exterior.
Engine — Skoda Kodiaq SportLine 2017
Skoda Kodiaq that will be launched next year comes with five types of engine that include three petrol engines and two types of diesel. The petrol engines are 1.4 L TSI that delivers 92 kW (125 PS) and 110 kW (150 PS) while the another one is 2.0 L TSI producing 132 kW (180 PS).
Meanwhile, the diesel lineup consists of 2.0 L TDI that produces 110 kW (150 PS) and 140 kW (190 PS). Three transmissions options—6-speed manual, 6-speed dual clutch automatic and 7-speed dual clutch automatic—are available.
On the other hand, it is still unclear what kind of engine will power up the new Kodiaq Sportline trim. Probably it will get the same engine with three other trims but with some power upgrade. However, it is also possible that Sportline will get something different.

If Skoda decides on the latter, there are two most likely candidates. The first one is 2.0 L turbocharged petrol engine from Skoda Superb Sportline which belts out 280 PS (276 HP), while the another one is 240 PS (237 HP) twin turbo diesel engine that powers Volkswagen Passat targeted for the European market.

It is possible that Skoda Kodiaq Sportline will make its debut in March 2017’s Geneva Motor Show. Skoda has not announced when Sportline will hit dealerships, but we can expect it to join Kodiaq’s three other trim in the same year.
