Updated: January 22, 2017: New Hyundai i30 Full Specifications, Price and Release Date. After revealing it at last year’s Paris Motor Show, Hyundai recently announced the full specifications of its newest i30. It is said that this hi-spec car is set to rival the likes of Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
2017 Hyundai i30 Specifications
Interior, Exterior Design:
Contrary to the old model, new 2017 Hyundai i30 adopts simpler, neater and more conservative design with less dramatic styling that will appeal to the mainstream market. The company’s design chief said that the company has chosen to give “more mature approach” to the new i30.
Included in this hi-spec car are some new and sophisticated styling elements such as a hexagonal front grille with the inverted curve. Inside, the customers will be pampered with new central touch screen display, TomTom live traffic updates and also an induction charging.
In addition, new i30 is also equipped with various safety kits like auto emergency braking, driver fatigue monitor, blind spot monitoring, radar-assisted cruise control and much more.
The most basic engine in new Hyundai i30 petrol lineup is a 1.0 L 3-cylinder turbo engine that generates 118 bhp and 171 Nm and sends the car running to 62 mph in 11.1 seconds. A 6-speed manual is the sole gearbox option for this trim. In other markets, a less powerful and cheaper 1.4 L engine with 99 bhp will be available.
The most potent engine in the petrol line-up is a 1.4 L 4-cylinder turbo motor that churns out 130 bhp and 242 Nm. Unlike the 1.0 L unit, customers can choose to pair the 1.4 L engine with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
While the manual transmission will help the car sprint to 62 mph in 8.9 seconds, the DCT gearbox will need 0.3 seconds longer to arrive at the same number. This engine is available in SE NAV trim and upwards starting from £20,395 for the manual gearbox and an additional £1,000 to that price for the automatic one.
In charge of the oil burner lineup is a 1.6 L 4-cylinder engine with 109 bhp and 280 Nm. This engine is available in SE trim with the £19,685 starting price. Customers can also bring this model home with the DCT gearbox, but the price will increase to £21,645. Only one diesel unit will be available at launch, but maybe we will get more options in later months.
