Mitsubishi GT-PHEV Specifications
Features, Exterior, and Interior
This is an Mitsubishi GT-PHEV SUV car with the automaker defines as grand tourer capability. From the rendering, it is clearly seen that the car is a five door model. It features the far more aggressive-looking front grille. The grille opening is making X-shape. It also features three fog lights in hexagonal design, and the headlight is the only tiny sliver.
The roof seems low enough, and it is finished in contrasting color. Wing mirrors are spectacular, and it must feature rear view camera instead of conventional mirrors. It may remind us on Land Rover Range Rover Evoque a little. The rear fascia adopts current styling, and it also features new rear bumper which is steeply raked. Fantastic.
Even though there is no image on its interior, Mitsubishi confirms that it should be a high-end cabin. The interior should feature cockpit design at the front, high center console, and leather trimming in which its color will be used to finish the roof.
Powertrain, Engine — Mitsubishi GT-PHEV
As indicated by its name, this is a plug-in hybrid SUV. Power comes from high-capacity battery pack, and three electric motors ( two electric motors at the rear and a 2.5-liter petrol engine). It will come with 25 kWh battery pack mounted under the floor. the electric motors should take the car to 75 miles of range on a single charge.
There is no accurate information on the possible engine, but this car should use the gas engine to power the front wheels, and the electric motor will power the rear wheels. So, it should work on all-wheel drive configuration.
There are no performance figures mentioned in the press release. But In combination, this car can reach up to 750 miles. It is a terrific number it is.

Mitsubishi GT-PHEV Price and Release Date
Pricing on this new Plug-in hybrid car is unannounced so far, but this is a concept so it may not be labeled after all. This car is making a debut during this year Paris Motor Show.
Well, it looks like Mitsubishi has a lot of time in building a concept. Maybe, this company should focus more on delivering the actual vehicle instead of the concept only. US market is hurt right now with Outlander PHEV, and this can be a move to draw back the attention. However, until the actual Mitsubishi GT-PHEV concept is on sale, who cares about the concept?.
