Powertrain, Engine – Lotus Elise 250 Special
There is no mechanical modification found on this sedan. Thus, this car will use the same engine as Cup 250. The engine will be Toyota-made supercharged four-cylinder 1.8 liters of the petrol engine. It can generate 243 bhp of power output and 184 lb-ft of torque performance. The engine will be paired with six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive configuration.

Even though there is no precise news on its’ official release date so far, this car is expected to be available this year. Unfortunately, there will be only 50 units of this model to release. And, each will cost £47,900 or around $62,911 USD. This price is a little a disappointing even though it comes as an exclusive car. Several rivals offer nice specs around the price as well. Like Porsche 718 Cayman S, it is only £2,000 more expensive.
Overall, this sedan is a nice hit in sedan and convertible segment. However, other more reputable brands can offer something real nice with little more bucks. Maybe, the particular number of production should empower the Lotus Elise 250 Special Edition sale.
