Lamborghini Aventador Gets Mid-Cycle Update and “S” Suffix. Lamborghini is currently working to give mid-cycle refresh for Aventador, and we have taken some glimpses at the prototype. Furthermore, a recent trademark filing hints at the possibility that the facelifted car will get “S” suffix following its name.
Lamborghini Aventador S Specifications
Lamborghini filed the application trademark for 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S to European Union Intellectual Property Office on November 18th, 2016. This is not the first time “S” suffix appears in Lamborghini cars. Previously, Miura and Countach also received this name addition.
Therefore it is not a surprise anymore. And, we know what’s going to happen when the “S” suffix appears in Lamborghini car. The additional letter always points to an enhanced version so we can expect facelifted Aventador to come with more power and better styling cues.
Exterior, Interior redesign — New Aventador Facelift
The engineers did an excellent job in camouflaging the prototype that we can barely see any of the updates. But still, we have a pair of very keen eyes so we can still spot some aero tweaks that seems to be borrowed from Superveloce.
The improvement is especially obvious in a more aggressive diffuser, new triple exhaust housing and updated rear bumper that gets two additional air outlets. Thanks to the new air vents. We can expect refreshed Aventador to have the better cooling system.
Still borrowed from Superveloce, updated Aventador will also get the magnetic fluid-filled adaptive damper that will help to improve the handling. In the cabin, this car probably will get new infotainment system with the large touch-screen that was just debuted in Centenario variant. Internet connection and Apple CarPlay compatibility are also going to be a must-have feature in this car.
