2017 Kia Picanto Specifications, Price and Release Date. Spy shots of 2017 Kia Picanto were recently leaked. And, those images revealed the front fascia of this third generation Picanto. Even though the shots didn’t tell much due to the camouflage in some important parts, it is clear that the front end is inspired by Kia Rio, the cool hatch that was just debuted at the last Paris Motor Show.
2017 Kia Picanto Specifications
Exterior and Interior Design reviews
All-new 2017 Kia Picanto receives a lot of design improvements. Most noteworthy is the features on the front fascia. This 5-door small hatch will feature a sportier front end which is backed up by the more beefy bumper with new chrome detailing. Furthermore, Kia’s signature Tiger Nose grille will make a comeback in this car accompanied by massive and gaping lower grille.
As a result, the front end looks more sporty and aggressive. Opposite to the individual diodes featured in the current model, 2017 Picanto / Kia Morning will get U-shaped LED daytime running lights instead.
The third generation Picanto spec will have similar proportion with the current model. However, the new car will be slightly longer and wider. Consequently, the cabin will be more spacious. Inside, we can expect a revamped dashboard that will look neater because it has fewer buttons.
In addition, the 2-spoke steering wheel will also be replaced with the more beautiful 3-spoke steering wheel. Actually, the current Picanto model already comes with the well-trimmed interior. But it seems like the manufacturer wants to take the comfort game to the next level. That’s because it is rumored that the 2017 Picanto model will get more luxurious upholstery with even better trim.
Engine, Drivetrain reviews — 2017 KIA Picanto
2017 Kia Picanto will get the same engine with the current Hyundai i10. First of all, it is 1.2 L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder Kappa II engine. While, the other one is the new 1.0 L 3-cylinder turbo engine. And just like the current Picanto, the engine will be paired with either 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual or CVT transmission.

2017 Kia Picanto Release Date and Price
2017 Kia Picanto will be revealed officially in Geneva Motor Show which will be held on March 2017. And, it is possible that this car will hit Korean market even before the official reveal. However, things will be different in Australia.
Since the current Picanto was just released last April in this country, probably the new Picanto 2017 will not arrive at Australian market until the end of 2017. It seems like Kia Australia wants to see how the public reacts to the current Picanto first before releasing the 2017 model.
