Exterior and Interior Design Reviews
Honda StepWGN with Modulo-X has a gorgeous sporty look thanks to the new front bumper and rear diffuser that help with aerodynamics. Besides, the exterior also gets new smoked headlamps, grille, LED fog lamps, 17” aluminum wheels and certainly a new Modulo-X emblem.
Moreover, the total height is also slightly reduced by 15 mm. This car still features its signature Waku Waku rear tailgate/door which becomes one of this model’s best attractions. Unlike other conventional tailgates, Waku Waku tailgate opens to the side. With this unique tailgate/door concept, the passenger can access the last row of the car and load the luggage more conveniently. A great feature for a city van.
Inside, the Modulo-X emblems are shown again on the special seat upholstery and floor mats. The interior is also spiced up with leather wrapped steering wheel, gear knob, digital video recording and a fabulous 9 inches nav screen.
Drivetrain, Engine — Honda StepWGN Modulo X Kit
Honda StepWGN with Modulo X style is powered by the same engine that comes under the hood of the original version, which is 1.5 L turbocharged 4-cylinder VTEC engine. The power output of this engine is rated at 150 PS @ 5500 RPM with 203 Nm torque @ 1600-5500 RPM.
This engine is mated to the CVT gearbox, sending power to the front wheels. However, unlike the original Honda StepWGN, all-wheel drive is not available for Modulo-X.

Some customers maybe expect some performance upgrades. But actually, it is not really necessary for this car. The powertrain is already excellent in its class, especially with only 17km/l fuel consumption. The engine is very suitable for a practical van. And, the original version has become a healthy competition for Nissan Serena and Toyota Noah since its first launch back in 2015.
