Fiat X6H — Once again, new Fiat X6H was spotted testing in Brazil, but now it was dressed in very light camouflage. And thanks to the spy shots taken by Wesley Valadares, an Autos Segredos reader, we can see the styling cues of the Fiat Punto and Palio replacement.
Since the prototype is not so heavily disguised anymore, Valadares’ pictures offer the clearest look to this popular Brazilian vehicle.
Fiat X6H Specifications
Previously, it is rumored that Fiat X6H is just a Brazilian version of European-spec Fiat Tipo hatchback. But the newest spy shots clearly show that the said rumor is not entirely true. It indeed has some small similarities with the hatchback, but the differences are also pretty significant. For instance, the side profile between the two cars is different.
Other noteworthy styling cues include the swept back headlights on the front end. In addition to the distinctive headlights, the front part is also graced by simple styled grille and fog lamps.
Furthermore, one of the development mules features faux diffuser and chrome-coated angular tailpipe. It is a clear sign that a sporty model is also on the way.
New Fiat X6H will come with four different variants: 1.0 Attractive, 1.3 Attractive, 1.8 Essential and 1.8 Sporting. For the entry level 1.0 Attractive variant, the engine that will come under the bonnet is 1.0 L Firefly 3-cylinder flex fuel engine.
And since this is a Brazilian car we are talking about, an ethanol engine option is definitely available in addition to the petrol variant. While the petrol model can deliver 72 HP, the ethanol one has slightly more power with 77 HP and 10.9 kg.m of torque.
The second engine in the lineup is 1.3 L GSE engine that will power the 1.3 Attractive model. This engine doesn’t come with ethanol variant, and the power output is rated at 101 HP and 13.7 kg.m of torque. Meanwhile, for the range-topping model, the 1.8 L 4-cylinder E-torQ EVO engine from Fiat Toro could be the best candidate.
Fiat X6H Price and Release Date
The production of Fiat X6H will be started in March 2017 at the company’s factory in Pernambuco Brazil. After that, the car will be available for Brazilian customers in the middle of 2017.
It is not confirmed yet, but it seems like May is the most plausible time to commence sale. Up to this time, the company has not said anything regarding the pricing. But, it probably will not be too far from the model it replaces.
