2016 DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge Limited Edition — Production Is Limited to 17 Units Only. Following the success of 2015 DS 4 Crossback in China and Europe, the manufacturer finally decided to produce the special edition of the car. The special edition car is named Terre Rouge, and only 17 units will be built.
All of them are sold in the UK. Terre Rouge is set to improve the owner’s driving convenience as well as bringing some avant-garde style to the road. Therefore, it will feature some different visual updates and better driving assistance systems. But will this crossover be unique enough to be called special edition?. Let’s see for yourself.
DS4 Crossback Terre Rouge Limited Edition Specifications
The visual is the most noteworthy part of this special edition car, and there are definitely some interesting things that will appeal to the buyers. First of all, it is the matte Tourmaline Orange body that follows the current Parisian trend. This is not the only orange car in the world, but due to the sophisticated matte color, this car becomes eye-catching.
Another great feature in the exterior includes the new mirror screen, roof bar, panoramic windscreen, and 10” gloss black alloy wheels. Furthermore, this car also comes with DS LED vision which increases the light beam by 51%. As a result, the driver will get better visibility, especially during the night. Inside, the driving position is slightly elevated, and the seats are upholstered with Black Basal leather.
Engine, Drivetrain details — DS4 Crossback Terre Rouge Limited Edition
2016 DS4 Crossback Terre Rouge special edition is powered by BlueHDI 180 diesel which produces 180 HP. This engine is not bad but seems like it is a little bit too ordinary for an exclusive special edition car. It is especially relevant if we compare it with the range of engines in the original DS 4.
Opposite to the special edition, the original DS 4 engine lineup consists of 3 diesel units and three petrol units with the highest end unit capable of producing 208 HP. Considering the success of the original model, customers will consequently expect at least something similar.
DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge Limited Edition Price and Release Date
2016 DS 4 Crossback Terre Rouge special edition is expected to commence sales on November 1, 2016. Only 17 units will be available so you’d better move fast if you want to drive this orange matte car. Furthermore, the price is set at £30.045 in the UK which is not really expensive for a special edition car. But since 17 units are not exclusive anyway, and also considering the engine specification, this car is priced well.
