Under the hood, this new Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS 2017 car is going to be empowered by the same engine in Audi TT-RS, turbocharged five cylinder 2.5 liter engine that produces around 335 or 375 hp. They refused to specify the power output due to their partnership with long-time best-friend, Bosch who will improve the acceleration as well as driving experience on this car. So possibly, this car will not be more powerful but faster. It is estimated that the car reach 62 mph in 2.7 seconds. With the engine, the car is expected to reach 168 mph as top speed respectively. In addition to those, this car will receive Bosch’s double clutch function and launch control system, and suspension upgrade. This is going to be one hell of a car.
Exterior and Interior Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS
This new Donkervoort is the advanced version of Caterham Seven with body integrated headlights, aerodynamic nose, taller decklid space, bigger door, and wider wheel arches. New windows and windscreen are also added. On RS trim, the body panels are changed into sportier specs. The rear side is changes as well but it doesn’t appear too clear. Meanwhile, the interior is awesome.
Door panels and dashboard in Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS are made of carbon fiber, and seats and center console are covered with leather. Door panels, center console, and seats that are covered with red leather get contrasting black stitches while it goes contrary for the steering wheel. Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS Release Date and Price
There is no confirmation about the release date and it probably never will. 20 out of 40 units are already sold this May. The price is €151,173 without tax, or €172,180 clean ( $172,180).
