2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition Specs and Details. Nissan 370Z has been on the market for nine years. However, the Japanese automaker has confirmed that the long-running car will not get the next generation it clearly deserves. But to spice up the game—considering how competitive the market right now—Nissan will launch a special 370Z Heritage Edition trim package.
It will give plenty of fresh styling elements to the coupe that will keep the aging coupe competitive. Michael Bunce, the vice president of the company’s North American branch Product Planning Division, said that this special trim package is launched to commemorate the early birthday of the iconic 240Z.
“Over the past five decades, there have been some special Z trim packages that have added a sense of customization straight off the showroom floor,” said Bunce in the press release. The new 2018 370Z Heritage Edition honors that tradition, blending it with the modern design and performance of the 2018 370Z. We are pleased to be debuting the new Heritage Edition in New York, one of the top Z markets from the very beginning.”
2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition Specifications
370Z Heritage Edition is offered with two choices of color, Chicane Yellow, and Magnetic Black. Chicane Yellow comes with black mirror cap and exterior graphic as well as yellow interior trim. Meanwhile, Magnetic Black comes with silver exterior graphic and similar yellow interior trim with the first one.
It is based on the base model Z, which according to Nissan, is the most popular trim on the range. Hence, the Heritage Edition will be equipped with all the updates that come in the latest 2018 Z range. This update includes new headlights and combination lights on the rear, black trim on the rear fascia, specifically between the exhaust tips as well as smoked chrome door handles. Also, the car also gets the new EXEDY clutch that was given to the manual 370Z.
It seems like nothing will change in the powertrain department. It means the Heritage Edition will still be powered with the familiar 3.7 L naturally aspirated V6 engine that also powers the current 370Z. Power output also will remain at 332 HP and 270-pound feet of torque. Furthermore, power will still be sent to the rear wheels via either a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed automatic gearbox.
2018 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition Price and Release Date
NEW Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition will be officially unveiled for the first time at the upcoming New York Auto Show, and the sale will commence in the spring. The company has not announced its pricing yet, but for estimation, the current standard 370Z is priced at $30,855 for the manual model and $32,155 for the automatic.
Now that Nissan has presented Heritage Edition, there is one question that has yet to be answered. What’s going to happen to 370Z after this? It is rumored that the new generation will be positioned below the current model, which means its competition will be the likes of Toyota 86 or Subaru BRZ. It is hard to predict what the future will bring to this model, so let’s just wait for further updates from the automaker.
