2018 Mitsubishi ASX Specifications
Features, Exterior, and Interior Review
This new 2018 Mitsubishi ASX SUV is reported to build on a new concept, XR-PHEV II concept. This particular concept is the revised version of the original Concept XR-PHEV, which is first introduced during 2015 Tokyo Motor Show event. It features conventional treatment for the A-pillar and less sloping windscreen. While its front fascia seems to get the overall look of the concept, its bumper gets more vents.
Perhaps, they are trying to enhance the air flow. In addition to its spec, the front grille has been retained a little. While front fascia has minimal changes from the concept, its rear fascia receives most of the changes. The rear end now features the square look than in the concept, and the glasshouse is more conventional and taller. This should enhance visibility and headroom in the cabin. Offering more room in the cabin, this SUV can be bigger than other SUVs. In the alternative, it may use the great amount of high strength yet light weight steel for more cabin room and thinner body elements.
Powertrain – Mitsubishi ASX 2018
Based on the concept, this 2018 Mitsubishi ASX SUV will be powered by turbocharged 1.1 liters of petrol engine that generates 98 hp of power output and 14 kWh battery pack that produces 160 hp of power output. Yes, this is a plug-in electric powertrain.
