2018 Hyundai Elantra Touring (i30 Tourer) Spotted for the First Time. The prototype of 2018 Hyundai i30 Tourer was spotted somewhere in Europe. In the United States, 2018 i30 Tourer is called Elantra Touring, and the production of the last Elantra Touring was stopped after 2012 model year. i30 Tourer is a wagon version of Hyundai’s newest i30 hatchback that will be launched in 2017. It is possible that the wagon will borrow many design cues and also the powertrain from the hatchback.

Speaking of the powertrain, the new next-generation i30 Tourer 2018 / 2018 Hyundai Elantra Touring is powered by either a 1.4 L petrol engine, 1.6 L petrol engine or 1.6 L diesel engine. All three of them are the inline-4 engine with turbocharging and direct fuel injection.
Front-wheel drive is standard in all variant, and the power is transferred via a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. It is very likely that new 2018 Hyundai i30 Tourer will also get the same low capacity gas and diesel engine, FWD system as well as the two transmission options.

2018 Hyundai Elantra Touring Release Date and Price
Next-generation i30 Tourer 2018 will likely be unveiled for European public in fall 2017 during Frankfurt Motor Show. Meanwhile, for Elantra Touring in the United Stated States, the date is not confirmed yet.
Elantra Touring will compete for head to head with Volkswagen Golf SportWagen. While, i30 will be a strong rival for Opel Astra Sports Tourer and Ford Focus Wagon in the European market. Following i30 hatchback and i30 Tourer wagon, a sportier variant i30 N will also be released shortly. Unfortunately, the N badge will not be sold in the United States.
