2018 GMC Terrain Spied on the Rocky Mountains. Spotted during a test, the new 2018 GMC Terrain has been spied with camouflage still covering most of the details. However, the prototype vehicle seems to be in its final version, which is possibly the production version of the concept. This SUV is reported to offer new things, unlike it has been before in the series.
2018 GMC Terrain Specifications
Exterior and Interior Redesign
While it has been in the toaster like design, the new 2018 GMC Terrain looks entirely different. The silhouette is sleeker and less upright. The windshield seems raked, and the roof seems lower than the previous series. Adopting Acadia exterior styling, the SUV receives new bodywork in more curvaceous style.
At the front end, this 2018 GMC Terrain SUV gets prominent grille instead the old one and unique strips of LED lights. Its roof is now sloping gently, and the spoiler is now mounted in the tailgate. Besides being built in D2XX platform, this SUV also gets the most compact measurement to cater market demand.
Toward the C-pillar, the body design starts to rise. Even though there is no official detail on its interior yet, we should expect something in balance with the exterior styling. Comfort and safety features should be upgraded as it is a common thing on new SUV cars.
Powertrain, Engine – GMC Terrain 2018
Even though there is speculation on the use of small V6 and turbocharged four-cylinder engine, there are two engines that are planned to power the 2018 GMC Terrain SUV. First, it can be naturally aspirated four cylinders 2.5-liter engine that generates 197 hp of power output and 192 lb-ft of torque performance.
Second, it can also be turbocharged four-cylinder 1.5-liter engine that produces 160 hp of power output and 184 lb-ft of torque performance. It will be only one of them to power the new SUV.
