2018 Ford Fiesta Sedan — So we know that 2017 Ford Fiesta has just recently revealed and will hit the market around July 2017. While that sounds good and all, we still don’t know whether a sedan version will ever be produced or not.
The main problem about producing a sedan version is the fact that B-segment sedans never sell well in Europe. Skoda Rapid and Dacia Logan are exceptions, but it is only because those cars are cheaper than their competitors.
2018 Ford Fiesta Sedan Specifications
As a matter of fact, the chance for a sedan version of 2017 Ford Fiesta to be produced is very small, and there are three reasons for that. Firstly, European buyers always look at the space provided when buying a sedan and that is not Fiesta’s strongest forte.
Secondly, 2017 Fiesta will not arrive in the USA. So, it is almost certain that the sedan version—if it ever sees the light of day—will follow the step of its hatchback sibling.
And the last and most noteworthy reason, Ford is currently focusing on crossover segments that pour more money. As a consequent, there is no reason to waste money to produce a car that will be very likely to flop.
But we never know what the future holds, right?. So, if you want to know how the 4-door sedan will look like if Ford ever decides to produce it, you can take a look at the rendering made by Theophilus Chin. The most attractive part of the design is definitely its copper color body paint with a slightly rosy vibe.
Even at the very first glance, we already can conclude that Fiesta sedan is a car that puts a lot of emphasis on the styling department. It is very obvious from the big pillars and sleeker headlights and rear tail lights.
The design is very simple, and it adopts the subtle horizontal lines from the current model. However, the styling looks stunning thanks to the small yet significant tweaks in all part of the body such as the Fiesta Active inspired front spoiler and the new grille.

Powertrain and Release Date
Regarding the engine, probably this Sedan will get the usual 1.1 L naturally aspirated and the famous 1.0 Eco Boost petrol engine, while for the diesel unit, a 1.5 L unit seems like the best candidate.
Ford has a lot of home works if it wants to send this sedan into production. If it is intended to hit US market, affordable price is a must. Furthermore, the infotainment system inside the cabin needs to be refreshed so the car can appeal to younger audiences.
