2018 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition — To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the iconic Corvette, Chevrolet is getting ready to launch a special edition package called Carbon 65 Edition that will combine the heritage with modern elements. This is not going to be as exclusive as the Japan Heritage Edition Grand Sport that will only be limited to 5 units. However, Chevrolet will maintain the exclusivity of this luxury package by only building 650 units globally.
Furthermore, the package will only be available at the 3LT trim level of 2018 Grand Sport as well as the 3LZ trim level of 2018 Z06. It will debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show along with the other Chevrolet Corvette’s 2018 models like Stingray, Z06 and Grand Sport.
2018 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition Specifications
One of the most noteworthy elements of the Carbon 65 Edition is the new bare carbon fiber exterior package. This package includes a distinctive front spoiler, side sills, rear spoiler as well as quarter ducts. The last one is only available in the coupe model.
To spice up the carbon fiber treatment, even more, the special edition package also brings unique fender stripes, cool graphics at the doors, blue brake calipers, a set of new wheels with gloss black finish and also Ceramic Matrix Gray exterior finish. For the convertibles, a blue top will be standard. Ceramic brake package is also available, but it is solely reserved for the Grand Sport model only.

Just like the exterior, the cabin also will get special treatment. This package came with Competition Sport seats and covered with special jet black suede upholstery, accentuated with blue stitching. Besides, we can see “Carbon 65” logo on the door sills while the steering wheel will be beautified by carbon fiber detailing.
Chevrolet also prepares some minor updates for all of its 2018 models. This update includes a new HD digital radio that comes as standard, enhance head-up display rotation setting, better rear view camera with higher resolution and wider angle, and also performance Data Recorder with four additional data channel sourced by Cosworth Toolbox.
Those channels include individual wheel speeds, individual suspension displacements, yaw rate and intake as well as ambient air temperature. Besides, Spice Red convertible top, as well as Sterling Blue to replace the standard Ceramic Matrix Gray is also offered as options.
2018 Corvette Carbon 65 Edition Price and Release Date
According to the press release, 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Edition will arrive on the market this summer. The package will cost buyers additional $15,000 on top of the Chevrolet Corvette of their choice. For your information, 2018 Grand Sport 3LT trim starts at $76,190 for the coupe and $80,000 for the convertible.
It means with the addition of Carbon 6 package, and the price will increase to $ 91,190 and 95,190 respectively before options. As for the 2018 Z06 3LZ with Carbon 65 package, the price will be higher. The coupe starts at $104,390 while the convertible $108,390 before options.
