2018 BMW 6 Series — Debuted in 2011, current generation BMW 6 Series is reaching its end of lifecycle very soon. To keep things interesting for 6 Series enthusiasts, BMW USA recently revealed a mild-refreshed 2018 BMW 6 Series, not that it needs one, though.
Even though the model has been around for five years (as for Gran Coupe body style, it is four years), it doesn’t look old or outdated at all. As a matter of fact, the styling is one of the freshest and most beautiful on the market, particularly in the premium mid-size segment. But now that it is in front of us let’s just cherish it, particularly as it comes with various new kit and equipment options.
2018 BMW 6 Series Specifications
Design, new equipment option:
As usual, customers are allowed to custom-tailored their BMW 6 Series to their liking, thanks to the extensive list of options and kits from BMW Individual Program. From upholstery, body paint and also the variety of equipment, the program gives freedom for the customer to personalize their coupe, convertible or Gran Coupe.
But in the case of 2018 6 Series, the BMW Individual Program is just one part of the equation. If customers can’t find what they want from the numerous choices in the program, extended M-Sport package offering comes to the rescue.
The M-Sport package for this refreshed car comes with a double spoke 20” M wheels with staggered setup, as well as a carbon-fiber interior trim option. Speaking of the carbon fiber interior trim, this is an excellent and exciting deal in 2018 6 Series since previously it is only available exclusively for full-blown M model.

Power is sent to the rear wheels for 640i and all wheels for 640i xDrive. Furthermore, 650i and its xDrive variant will also be available with 445 HP of power output, courtesy of a 4.4 L V8 engine.
2018 BMW 6 Series Price and Release Date
It is reported that 2018 BMW 6 Series facelift will be available in BMW dealerships across the USA in spring next year. Official price is yet to be announced so let’s patiently wait until BMW spills some further update. If you are not interested and prefer to wait for the next generation 6 Series, you will need to wait a little bit longer.
The new generation 6 Series has been spotted testing several times in public road which suggests that it should be ready to be revealed. Probably by the end of 2017 or early 2018. Speaking of the new generation, it is rumored that the hot Gran Turismo will make its way to the new 6 Series. So if it is a more aggressive performance you are after, you probably want to wait for further updates on the new-gen.
