2018 Audi RS5 Coupe Spied Again . After spied for several times, the new 2018 Audi RS5 coupe has been spied again while testing. This time, the prototype seems to be different comparing to the prototype that we saw the last time. RS has been a different variant in this brand that offers sportier performance and looks. Check out the details below to see what is new on the prototype.
2018 Audi RS5 Coupe Specifications
Features, Exterior, and Interior
Comparing to the previous 2018 Audi RS5 Coupe prototype, this one seems to wear production ready bumpers and body panel. Both ends receive flared fenders. At the rear, we can find two oval exhaust tips. This model is mentioned to wear lightweight material for body panel, so we can expect its weight is reduced up to 100 kg respectively.
This should affect dew details on performance figures. The air intakes on each bumper look new and larger this time. The grille is in gaping design while this car uses the standard and old fashion steel brakes. From this detail, it is only normal to assume that this car may have two different variants in the lineup.
In this look, we may also consider that adding carbon fiber material on the aerodynamic kit and using ceramic brakes should be logical. Inconsistency, the cabin of this new coupe should have carbon fiber trimming as well or at least finished in the consistent shade as the exterior.
Powertrain, Engine — Audi RS5 Coupe 2018
For powertrain, we can only discuss what is rumored so far. Replacing the old engine, this 2018 Audi RS5 Coupe model will be powered by twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter of V6 engine. The same powertrain is available on S4 and S5 models with the single turbocharger.
This engine performance isn’t known so far, but it is expected to churn out around 335-350 kW of power output or 400-500 hp. However, it shouldn’t be surprising as well if Audi sets it to be lower than 400 hp of power output.
