2019 Lincoln Aviator Makes a Comeback — After dropped in 2005 for the bad number of sales, it is rumored that Lincoln Aviator is going to re-enter the auto market. Really, this is good news for so many drivers while they also hope for something appealing considering how rivals these days. Here is a little recap on this crossover car.
2019 Lincoln Aviator Specifications
Exterior and Interior
This 2019 Lincoln Aviator car used to be a six-seater SUV. Riding on 113.7 inches of wheelbase, this car is 193.3 inches long, 73.9 inch wide, and 71.9 inch high. It’s ground clearance is close enough to the ground, 8.9 inch. Its’ front grille had chrome accent and black vertical inserts in it. The lower body gets different color finish while it has chrome roof rails.
On the inside, bucket front seats with 8-way adjustment, passenger seats with height adjustment option, power adjustable lumbar support, and leather trimming. While it also features heated mirrors, it also offers many instrumentation. We should expect the same features to appear while it also gets new advanced features including driving assistance systems, instruments like tachometer, compass, and external temperature display, with new infotainment display as well.
As it needs new smartphone integration along with satellite navigation system and other supporting systems, it still needs the trailer hitch and wiring as well as the cargo tie downs.
Powertrain – 2018 / 2019 Lincoln Aviator
In 2005 version, this Aviator car is powered by 4.6 liters of DOHC 32-valve of V8 gasoline engine that generates 302 hp of power output and 300 lb-ft of torque performance. The engine was paired with the five-speed automatic transmission in rear-wheel drive configuration.
For the new version, we can expect for the same engine even though V6 engine should suffice. With bigger transmission for better fuel economy rate, all-wheel drive configuration should be available as well. Let’s not hope for hybrid powertrain during the first release even though it may come in the future models.
