New 2017 Nissan Versa Note Ditches the Manual Transmission. US bestselling hatch, Nissan Versa Note strikes again with the newest model. Since the previous car is such a hit already, the company decides not to give too many changes to the 2017 model. The only huge change in this new Nissan model is the dismissal of manual transmission from the lineup. The base S model with manual transmission is no longer produced, and now S+ becomes the new base model.

Exterior, Interior redesign review
Since the S trim is no longer produced, 2017 Nissan Versa Note lineup consists of the base S+, the middle range SV, the sporty SR and the top of the range SL trim. All four of them get new headlights, revamped rear bumper taken from last year’s SR and more aggressive grille with Nissan V’s motion symbol.
If you think the grille looks familiar, it is because the design is shared by Sentra, Altima, and Maxima. Two exterior colors, Monarch Orange and Deep Blue Pearl, are available for the customers to choose.
Meanwhile, the most noteworthy change in the interior is the larger cup holder and 12 V power outlet that is moved to the front center console. Furthermore, SV, SR, and SL trim are lucky enough to get second 12 V power outlet and additional USB port.
While the S+ and SV trim only get new wheel cover, SR and SL comes with various additional features. The sporty SR now gets faux suede-like upholstery, fog light, side sill with body color, integrated turn signal in the rear view mirror and the 3-spoke steering wheel that reminds us with the one comes in Nissan 370Z.
Meanwhile, the top range SL gets 5.8-inch touch screen with the navigation system, Nissan Around View Monitor, 360-degree view monitor, equipped with four cameras as well as very comfortable heated seats.
