2017 Nissan Rogue Powertrain, Engine
As they had done before, the new 2017 Nissan Rogue redesign offers the same engine as its predecessor. The power comes from a 2.5-liter engine that can produce 170 horsepower and 175-pound-feet of torque. And, that has an impressive 33 MPG on the highway. However, the electric motor can add another 30 kW. It uses a derivative of Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid systems that combine CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) system with Dual Clutch Control System. This move will allow the electric motor do all the work under certain conditions. By doing so, the power of EV will be stronger than when they use the Pathfinder Hybrid. The 2017 Nissan Rogue also rumored to be coming in a hybrid variant. However, until now this is all just speculation and more precise details are expected soon.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue variants for hybrid engines will be fitted with the traditional 2.5-liter engine combined with a 50 kW electric motor and being a distant relative of the Prius so of course, it has more power and a better reputation.
