During regular driving, all the torque available will be exclusively transferred to the rear wheels. However, when it is deemed necessary, the active transfer case will send some of the torque to the front wheels as well. Then, when the front traction is not needed anymore, the front-axle disconnect will take charge and send the torque back to the rear wheels.
The fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. Even though it is not graced with Challenger’s iconic V8 engine, it doesn’t lack sportiness thanks to the additional Sport mode, shift paddle, and launch control.
