Facelifted 2017 Dacia Lodgy and Dokker Unveiled with New Grille and Optional Reversing Camera. In the last Paris Auto Show, we have seen Dacia revealed facelifted Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Logan. Now, Dacia comes back and brings two more new facelifted models, the Lodgy and Dokker. With the recent introduction of the facelifted Lodgy and Doker, all models in the Romanian automaker’s current lineup have been successfully refreshed. Now, it is time to sit back and see how the facelifted models will perform in the market.
2017 Dacia Dokker and Lodgy facelift Specifications
Overall, the facelift gives 2017 Lodgy and Dokker the same new styling updates as in Logan and Sandero. However, it is easy to notice that the updates are less fancy in the two newest models. Both Lodgy and Dokker will try attracting new customers with their new grille, 16 inches wheels with better design, restyled air vents as well as several new touches to the trims.
In addition to those new exterior elements, the slightly more expensive Lodgy also gets revamped boot lid design. However, some people might think that the new boot lid does nothing good to the facelifted Lodgy. It is very hard not to notice the big piece of plastic surrounding the number plate as well as well as the not-so-sophisticated chrome trim on top which only makes the car look cheap.
New headlights definitely will make Lodgy and Dokker 2017 more visually appealing, unfortunately once again, unlike Logan and Sandero, the two recently facelifted cars have to do without those new elements.
Inside the cabin, refreshed Lodgy and Dokker’s driver seat now comes with an armrest that originally was Stepway exclusive. In addition to the very comfortable arm rest, the cars also get a refined steering wheel, one-touch window function on the driver’s side and stowage net for front passenger and the folding table for rear passengers.
If you think those new elements are not enough for your liking simply prepare €200 ($214) premium and you can equip the car with an optional reversing camera that sends images to the dashboard’s main screen.
Engine — 2017 Dacia Lodgy and Dokker facelift
In terms of powertrain, we will not see anything new in the refreshed Dacia Lodgy and Dokker. Unlike Sandero and Logan that gets an additional 1.0 L 3-cylinder engine with 75 PS (74 HP), Lodgy and Dokker will not benefit from the new engine. It means we have no choice but to accept the old SCe 100 1.6 L engine and Tce 115 1.2 L engine with a turbo.
Those two are the petrol lineup. In the oil burner department, DCI 90 is available for both Lodgy and Dokker. In addition to the DCI 90, customers can also choose DCI 75 for the Dokker and dCi 110 for Lodgy.
